Biogas plant at Banashanari Temple

Banashankari temple has found a way to use the waste that is generated at the temple to produce biogas fuel for the kitchen, kumkum and manure.

The 101-year-old Banashankari temple, one of the wealthiest in the Muzarai department in terms of funds received, had an age-old problem with the waste produced in the temple, especially the sacks of lemon peels on Tuesdays and Fridays. The temple authorities have now found a solution to their waste problem as they are using the wet waste to fuel their kitchen.
